OVERVIEW
Formerly Shell's wholly-owned Pulau Bukom refinery (once as large as 500,000 b/d, Shell's largest wholly-owned refinery worldwide) -- sold to Aster Chemicals and Energy, a joint venture between Indonesia's Chandra Asri and commodities trader Glencore, with the sale completing in April 2025. Current crude/condensate processing capacity is 237,000 b/d; a project to revive a 70,000 b/d condensate splitter (acquired from PCS Pte Ltd) is expected to lift capacity to over 300,000 b/d in H2 2026.
