OVERVIEW
PetroChina's refining complex in Daqing, Heilongjiang -- historically tied to China's largest onshore oil field of the same name. A two-year, CNY4.45 billion upgrade completed in 2020 lifted crude processing capacity from 6.5 million t/y (about 130,000 b/d) to 10 million t/y (200,000 b/d), adding a 2 million t/y fluid catalytic cracker, gas fractionation unit and sulphur recovery units, and enabling the plant to process additional Russian crude alongside domestic Daqing crude.
