OVERVIEW
PetroChina's major refining-petrochemical complex in Jilin City, Jilin -- one of the earliest bases of China's chemical industry, with a predecessor operation dating to 1957 and the current corporate entity formally established in January 2000. Crude processing capacity stands at about 9.8 million t/y (roughly 196,000 b/d), and the site runs over 130 refining, chemical and auxiliary units, with total ethylene capacity reaching 1.9 million t/y after a 1.2-million-t/y ethylene unit and 400,000-t/y HDPE unit were commissioned in August 2025.
