OVERVIEW

A joint venture between Saudi Aramco (62.5%) and TotalEnergies (37.5%), formed June 2008 in Jubail II Industrial City; first shipments September 2013, commercial operations from June 2014. Nameplate crude capacity is 460,000 b/d. During the 2026 Gulf conflict, an attack on 7-8 April 2026 damaged one of the refinery's two processing trains, forcing a shutdown; TotalEnergies restarted operations by 14 April, running at a reduced ~230,000 b/d as of late April 2026 (see news for latest status).
