OVERVIEW

One of China's earliest refineries, tracing back to the original Shanghai Refinery founded in 1945; reorganized in November 1981 into today's Sinopec Shanghai Gaoqiao Petrochemical as the country's first cross-industry, cross-department mega economic consortium. Located in Pudong New Area, Shanghai, with a crude distillation capacity of roughly 261,000 b/d across 76 processing units, including an 8-million-t/y atmospheric-vacuum distillation unit and an 800,000-t/y continuous catalytic reformer.
