OVERVIEW
Sinopec's refining-petrochemical base in the Yangpu Economic Development Zone, Danzhou, on the northwest coast of Hainan island -- onstream since 2006 and since expanded with a 1-million-t/y ethylene project (mid-term delivery June 2022). Crude distillation capacity is reported at roughly 185,000 b/d across some 30 production units.
