OVERVIEW
Sinopec's dedicated imported-crude processing base in Qingdao, Shandong -- built to handle higher volumes of imported (often heavier or higher-acid) crude for the group's northern China network. Construction ran from May 2006, and the 10-million-t/y (about 200,000 b/d, precisely 201,370 b/d per company figures) refinery began commercial operation in June 2008.
