OVERVIEW
Built in 1948 by Standard Oil Company of California to process 14,000 b/d of Rangely, Colorado crude delivered via a new 182-mile pipeline over Wolf Creek Pass; took the Chevron name after Standard Oil's 1984 merger with Gulf Oil. Now a 55,000 b/d refinery producing gasoline, diesel and jet fuel.
