OVERVIEW
An export-oriented refinery in Afipsky, Krasnodar Krai, commissioned in December 1963 (originally as a gas-petrol processing plant) and owned by SAFMAR Group since 2019. Design capacity is 6.25 million t/y (about 125,000 b/d); actual throughput reached 7 million t/y by 2022. Struck by Ukrainian drones multiple times in 2026 (21 January, 14 March -- damaging the AT-22/4 primary unit -- and 11 June), part of a sustained campaign against Russian refining infrastructure.
